The Local SEO page tracks your positions in Google's local search results and Maps pack using BrightLocal data.
What's Tracked
- Local pack rankings — Your position in the 3-pack for local search queries
- Maps rankings — Your position on Google Maps search results
- Local organic — Standard organic rankings for location-specific queries
- Review signals — Rating, review count, and review velocity
Setup
Local SEO tracking requires a BrightLocal integration configured in Settings > Integrations. You need:
- A BrightLocal API key
- At least one location configured in BrightLocal
- Keywords with local intent flagged for tracking
Reading the Dashboard
- Position charts show your local pack ranking over time
- Competitor comparison shows where competitors rank for the same queries
- Grid view shows position across multiple search locations (city grid)
Tips
- Local rankings can vary significantly by search location — use the grid view to understand geographic patterns.
- Review velocity (new reviews per month) is a strong local ranking signal.
- Ensure your Google Business Profile NAP (Name, Address, Phone) matches your website exactly.
